Large Flemish decorated wood panelPeriod: late 18th - early 19th century

Large Flemish wood panel, probably part of a rood screen or altar screen. It is both partially and completely open-worked with an intricate pattern of scrolling leaves, fleur-de-lis and 2 shields. Some traces of an inscription on the 2 shields can still be seen. The panel has attractive gold, green and reddish brown coloring.
