Janus: Roman god of beginnings, gates ,transition, duality. Janus presided over the beginning and ending of a conflict, and hence over war and peace. He is usually depicted as a double-faced head, one face looking forwards and the other looking backwards.

Inside diameter: ± 16,9 - 15,4 mm

Condition: very fine condition and wearable, high quality intaglio with very fine details. Signs of wear consistent with age and use, small opening in the back setting on the inside of the ring band.
