Pertinax, Emperor of Rome, 31 December - 28 March 193 AD after the assasination of Commodus.
He was the first to become  during the tumultuous Year of the Five Emperors. During his 86 days of reign he dramatically reformed the Roman currency, increasing the weight and silver purity of the denarius.

Cassius Dio, historian and senator refers to him as an excellent and upright man.
