Very bold countermark, excellent for type !

Obverse: Crowned arms of the Counts of Barcelona with four pellets in the corners and the four digits of the year 1 5 9 6; all within beaded border.

Countermark: Head of John the Baptist.

Reverse: Standing John the Baptist between P P, holding Lamb of God with cross behind, halo above; all within beaded border.
