China, set of two rosewood Immortals
Period: 19th century
A matching pair of hand carved Chinese rosewood Immortals with flowing robes. They are holding a peach in one hand and are carrying a fish basket over the shoulder. The peaches symbolise longevity and health. The baskets are hollowed out to function as candlesticks with extracting holes on the back. In good condition, some usual dry cracks, no restorations.
