Dutch 'kattekop' wine bottle with exceptional irisation, intact. Bottleneck with flat wraparound rim and base kickup with large pontil mark.
These bottles were designed to hold wine or brandy; the wide bottom made them more suitable to use aboard ships in rough seas.
