Roman enamelled bronze triskele disc brooch
Period: 2nd century AD
Disc brooch decorated with the Celtic triskele pattern. Small disc in high relief in the centre of the triskele and three arms terminating in small discs. The outer border, triskele and dots show traces of silvering. Original blue/green enamel in parts and most of the vibrant red enamel is still present. On the reverse, the pin and hinge survived intact.
