Set of 4 Flemish tiles with central motif of a rampant lion and fleur-de-lis pattern in the corners.
These types were often used to decorate fireplaces (hearth tile or stove tile) or to decorate walls. They were very popular in Flanders (present day Belgium) and in the southern part of the Netherlands.
