A finely crafted gilded copper-alloy appliqué depicting a standing Eagle with outstretched wings, its head turned to left and grasping a small object in its beak.
The surface retains traces of original gilding, enhancing the finely engraved feather and wing details. Two attachment holes suggest it was once mounted on a belt, casket, or ceremonial harness.

The Eagle, a powerful symbol of strength and divine authority, was a popular motif in medieval heraldry and ecclesiastical art.

Size: ± 30,5 x 20,4 mm
Condition: good and solid condition, full gilding still present. Signs of wear consistent with age and use.
