Silver pendant enclosing an authentic Roman coin. The sterling silver frame (marked 925) is custom-made to the coin and if desired can be removed without damaging the coin.

Coin:Æ Antoninianus of Aurelianus, Serdica mint.

Obverse: Radiate, cuirassed bust right.
Legend: AVRELIANVS AVG
Reverse: Sol standing right, holding globe, raising right hand, trampling on recumbent captive at foot left.
Legend: ORIENS AVG
Officina letter: P

Diameter: ± 25,7 mm
Ref: RIC 276 variant, with officina letter P instead of Q, rare issue.

EF quality on wide flan and most of the original silvering still present on the coin.

Aurelian: Roman Emperor from 270-275 AD. His series of military victories reunited the Roman Empire after the barbarian invasions and internal revolts.
