Julian II: Roman Emperor from 361 - 363 AD and known as the last pagan Emperor. In Christian tradition he is remembered as Julian the Apostate for his rejection of Christianity.
He was a gifted administrator and a military strategist. In his early years as Caesar he was stationed in Gaul and recaptured lost Roman territiories.
