A fine example of Phoenician craftsmanship. The Phoenicians improved the glass making techniques which they learned from the Egyptians and often decorated the glass with stripes or wavy zig-zag patterns. Phoenician cities were great exporters and spread the Phoenician art throughout the Mediterranean from the 8th to the 2nd century BC.
