Antique brass tobacco or snuff box. The box is scallop-shaped with a hinged lid that is finely engraved with a double-headed eagle, holding a sword and orb. A crown between the two heads and stylised foliage or landscape motifs around.

The Habsburg double-headed eagle was a widely recognised and popular emblem not only in Austria, but also in the Low Countries, where Habsburg rule and influence remained deeply established for centuries.

Size: ± 72,1 x 60 mm
Condition: intact and in good solid condition with a functional hinged lid. The box retains a warm golden surface with minor signs of wear os cratches. A charming and unusual small personal container, likely intended for snuff, pills, or other small contents.
