Ancient Roman hollow-cast bronze terminal in the form of a wolf head.

Modelled with an elongated muzzle, rounded nose, deeply set eyes, and tense facial folds, the piece has an expressive protective character. The rear remains open, indicating that it was originally attached as a decorative terminal or mount, perhaps for furniture, a vessel, or chariot equipment.

Size: ± 42,1 x 22,1 x 21,6 mm
Weight: ± 65,64 g

Condition: good and solid condition. The surface shows a wonderful smooth and shiny olive-green patina with minor surface irregularities and signs of wear consistent with age and use.
