Ancient beads are rarely completely identical. Small differences in colour, shape and surface are therefore to be expected. Beads are selected to create a balanced pair while preserving their individual character.

Many of the earrings in this collection feature Roman glass beads in shades of blue, green, turquoise, amber and red. Some designs may also include ancient stone beads or other materials. Dating, attribution, measurements and condition are recorded on the individual product page.

Depending on the design, the ancient beads may be combined with modern spacer beads, wire, hooks and decorative fittings. These modern elements complete the composition and allow the earrings to be worn today.

The ancient beads are fitted with modern earring hooks and construction materials so that the finished earrings can be worn today. Caring for Your Earrings

Avoid contact with water, perfume, cosmetics and household cleaning products. Handle the ancient beads gently, wipe the fittings with a soft, dry cloth after wearing and store the earrings separately from other jewellery.
