Bracelets with Ancient Roman Beads

Our Roman bead bracelets combine authentic ancient beads with modern materials and fittings. The collection includes linked bracelets with clasps as well as flexible designs that are easy to put on and remove. Each bracelet is handmade in the Netherlands.

Variations in colour, shape and surface are part of the character of the ancient beads. The design of each bracelet is adapted to the particular beads rather than made to a standard pattern.

Roman Glass and Other Materials

Glass was widely used throughout the Roman world and could be produced in many colours, shapes and levels of transparency. Our bracelets may also contain ancient stone beads or other materials. The individual product page records the material, estimated date, measurements and condition of the ancient components.

Designed and Handmade in the Netherlands

Depending on the design, the ancient beads may be combined with modern wire, links, spacer beads, clasps and other fittings. These elements are selected to support the beads and create a comfortable, wearable bracelet.

Fit and Construction

The product page explains how each bracelet is fastened, its measurements and the intended wrist size. Some designs use a clasp, while flexible bracelets are made with modern wire that opens gently to slip over the wrist and then returns to its shape.

Flexible bracelets contain no elastic and are designed to be easy and comfortable to put on and remove. Adjustments may be possible for some linked designs. Please contact us before ordering if you would like to discuss the fit or a possible adjustment.

Caring for Your Bracelet

Ancient beads should be handled with care. Avoid water, perfume, cosmetics and household cleaning products. After wearing, wipe the bracelet gently with a soft, dry cloth and store it separately from other jewellery.
