Pendants with Ancient Roman Beads

Our Roman bead pendants are designed around one or more authentic ancient beads. Some compositions use a single bead as the central feature, while others bring several beads together in an articulated or wire wrapped design.

Each pendant is made by hand in the Netherlands. The arrangement is adapted to the colour, form and proportions of the individual beads, making every finished piece different.

Roman Glass and Other Materials

Many of the pendants feature Roman glass beads in vivid or softly weathered colours. Other designs may incorporate ancient stone beads, amulet beads or additional historical materials. The individual product page records their estimated date, attribution, dimensions and condition.

Modern Fittings and Construction

Depending on the design, the ancient beads may be combined with modern suspension loops, wire, spacer beads and decorative fittings. These modern elements allow the beads to be incorporated into a wearable contemporary design.

Form and Measurements

Our pendants vary considerably in length, width and construction. Please consult the measurements and photographs on the individual product page when choosing a piece. If you would like to wear a pendant with a particular chain or cord, please contact us before ordering so that we can help you assess whether the suspension loop is suitable.

Caring for Your Pendant

Ancient beads should be kept away from water, perfume, cosmetics and household cleaning products. Handle the pendant by its modern fitting whenever possible and store it separately to protect both the beads and the suspension loop.
