This collection brings together jewellery made with authentic ancient beads from different cultures and periods, including beads associated with Celtic cultures. Each product description records the date, material, measurements and condition of the individual bead as accurately as possible.

Ancient beads were made by hand and are rarely uniform. Differences in shape, colour, surface and wear are part of their history and give each finished piece its own character.

Designed Around the Beads

Each design starts with the bead. We select modern wire, chain, clasps and other findings that suit its size and appearance, while allowing the ancient element to remain the focus.

Some pieces have a simple contemporary setting, while others take inspiration from jewellery of the ancient world. Unless a product description states otherwise, all fittings, spacer beads and construction materials used alongside the ancient beads are modern.

Designed and Handmade in the Netherlands

Every piece is designed and made by hand in the Netherlands. As the beads differ from one another, the design is adapted to the individual bead rather than produced to a fixed pattern.
