Medieval bronze writing stylus with a pointed end for inscribing wax and a flattened end for smoothing the tablet’s surface. The central section features a pronounced spiral-twisted grip to prevent slipping and provide greater control when inscribing the wax.

Length: ± 61,4 mm
Good and solid condition, smooth and dark patina.

The stylus was used for writing on wax-tablets. The flat shaped terminal was for erasing errors.
The stylus was used until the use of paper became common. During the 15th century the wax tablets disappeared completely from daily life.
