Aurelian: Roman Emperor from 270-275 AD.
His series of military victories reunited the Roman Empire after the barbarian invasions and internal revolts. The Empire was fractured into three parts: the central Roman Empire, the Gallic Empire, and the Palmyrene Empire. Aurelian's military victories reunited the Empire and earned him the title "Restorer of the World"

He initiated the construction of the Aurelian Walls around Rome to protect the city from external threats.

Aurelian put an end to the debasement of coins, caused by the customary practice of stealing silver for the coin production. The senior public financial official Felicissimus incited the mint workers to revolt (bellum monetariorum). The rebellion spread in the streets, but the revolt was repressed in a bloody battle on the Caelian Hill in Rome.

Aurelian promoted the worship of Sol Invictus (the Unconquered Sun) as a unifying state religion, laying the groundwork for later religious transformations in the Empire.

Aurelian's reign was relatively short (270–275 AD), but his decisive actions helped stabilize the Empire during the Crisis of the Third Century and set the stage for future recovery.
