Antique silver signet ring with a wavy shield-shaped bezel, typical of the mid- to late 18th century. The bezel is hand-engraved with the initials M:A (A:M when printed on a wax seal). A distinctive 4-pointed crown above the initials denote a patrician status or noble lineage.

Outside diameter: ± 22,7 mm
Inside diameter: ± 20,3 - 17,6 mm
Bezel: ± 15,5 mm

Very good solid and wearable condition. Signs of wear consistent with age and use.

Signet rings functioned much like a handwritten signature. Their engraved bezels were pressed into warm sealing wax, leaving a distinctive personal mark. Crowns frequently appeared above initials and monograms in the Post-Medieval period, lending the design a heraldic and prestigious character.
