Object Description
Medieval iron arrowhead featuring a broad head with two long and straight barbs on either side of the central shaft. Below the head is an iron shank, gradually widening into a thicker section before continuing into a long, narrow tang intended for attachment to a wooden shaft.
The distinctive barbed design was intended to make withdrawal difficult after penetration.
