Medieval Pewter Strap-Ends with Medieval Leather Cords

Two Medieval pewter strap-ends, each decorated with a dotted flower within a dotted border and a trilobed terminal below. Both strap-ends remain attached to sections of their original leather cords. Three hook-shaped pins are preserved; these were used to secure the fittings to the leather. One pin still fixes a strap-end to its leather cord, while only the hook remains in place on the second example.

Length: ± 8 cm (including cords)

Diameter of strap ends: ± 15 mm

Condition: Good condition. The original leather cords are partially preserved, which is very rare. Signs of wear consistent with age and use.
