Constantine II: Roman Emperor 337-340 AD. After the death of his father Constantine I 'the Great' he ruled jointly with his brothers Constans and Constantius II.

After the Empire was divided between the three siblings, Constantine II complained that as the eldest son he had received only a poor share of the Empire (Gaul Hispania and Britannia). In 340 AD Constantine marched into Italy to claim territory from Constans and was killed by Constans's generals in an ambush outside Aquileia.
